BIRS-IMAG program for 2023

The BIRS-IMAG 2023 scientific program will take place from May to June 2023, with four workshops to take place at IMAG, Granada. The list of workshops is available at this page, and the schedule of activities will be made public as soon as it is finished by the organisers of each of the workshops. Contributions to the workshops and funding for attendance are by invitation only, but we welcome attendance by researchers who may be interested.

The pilot program will begin in 2023. It is planned that from 2024, IMAG will function as a center associated with BIRS, as those already existing in Oaxaca (Mexico), Hangzhou (China) and Kelowna (Canada). In this way, IMAG will be the first European center associated to BIRS, offering its excellent scientific programming with easy access to the European mathematical community, with the rich natural and cultural backdrop of Andalusia.

Estos congresos están abiertos a participación de personas adscritas a la UGR, con la única restricción del aforo de la sala. Las personas de UGR que estén interesadas en asistir deben enviar un correo a especificando el workshop en el que desean participar, para poder tener un control sobre la asistencia:

• 7-12 Mayo: "Modern Statistical and Machine Learning Approaches for High-Dimensional Compound Spatial Extremes".
• 21-26 Mayo: "Minimal Surfaces in Symmetric Spaces".
• 28 Mayo-2 Junio: Nonlinear diffusion and nonlocal interaction models – entropies, complexity, and multi-scale structures.
• 11-16 Junio: Geometric Inequalities, Convexity and Probability.
