Contrato predoctoral asociado a proyecto de investigación FENIX

The FENIX is a project included in the modality of research-oriented projects focusing on open issues in the study of atmospheric aerosol and their environmental, health and climate impacts. FENIX proposes to improve our understanding of atmospheric aerosol particles using spectroscopic techniques. These will be tested in the Spectroscopy Laboratory to improve the remote sensing tools used in our AGORA observatory and to be shared with the scientific community, especially in the framework of ACTRIS ERIC. To advance this knowledge, a Ph.D. position (4 years) is offered to focus on improving the range of scattering angles covered by the hybrid polar nephelometer and to set up a new configuration of the spectrometric fluorescence and Raman lidar ALHAMBRA, adding a third telescope to implement and improve the spectroscopic Raman and fluorescence capabilities. In addition, new fluorescence and Raman equipment will be implemented in the spectroscopy laboratory, focusing on the chemical characterization of the atmospheric aerosol. The results will have future implications for the development of new strategies to mitigate climate change.
