Abstract:
Polycyclic aromatic compounds (PACs) are a fascinating class of compounds, either because of their potential use in organic electronic devices or to gain a deeper understanding of fundamental concepts of aromaticity. There are several possibilities to contort and twist PAH structures, which will be discussed in the talk.
Furthermore, a new synthetic strategy is presented to make chiral nanobelts in one pot and high yields.
